Huei-Yuan Pan is a Cupertino-based professional musician and content creator, specializing in building community through his free live streaming lessons, digital books, online video courses, and podcast.
In 2018, Huei joined an educational software startup as the Executive Creative Director, bridging his work in education, digital media, and original content creation. Previous to that, he served five years as Founding Director of the Jumpstart Young Musicians Program (JYMP) at the Colburn School, a performing arts institution in the heart of downtown LA.
His drum corps experience includes performing with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps (Snare, 2001) and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (Snare, 2002-2003; Front Ensemble, 2004). From 2008-2011, Huei served as Director and Arranger for Green Thunder Percussion, what is now Cavalier Indoor Percussion, and in 2013-2014, as Percussion Caption Head with Regiment.
Huei has broadcasted over 500+ live streams, including his free Sunday Sessions, a rudimental percussion lesson series where he provides access and community for people passionate about teaching and learning how to play rudimental marching percussion. His latest projects include his first book entitled the Marching Percussion Playbook, his community-centered online video courses, Drumline Blueprint Complete, Left Hand Trad Pro, and most recently, CBDA 2021.
